Spiral-corrugated air ducts & ventilation solutions

Ventilation Technology Up Close: Discover Our In-House Solutions

What components make up a well-functioning ventilation system? What is the purpose of each product, where can it be used, and what factors should you consider when selecting the right solution?

In our new “Ventilation Technology Up Close” series of technical articles, we’ll showcase ISOPARTNER’s ventilation products and in-house solutions, supplemented with practical technical information.

Our goal is not merely to showcase the products. We also aim to provide concise and practical technical information that helps you navigate the various ventilation solutions and supports you in selecting the right product.

Each week, a different product takes center stage: air ducts, fittings, accessories, as well as both standard and custom-manufactured ventilation components are featured in the series.

In-House HVAC Manufacturing

Our in-house HVAC manufacturing operations are based at two locations. At our Debrecen manufacturing plant, we are able to produce a wide range of products as well as custom HVAC solutions, while at our Törökbálint facility, we manufacture spiral-wound ducts, among other products.

As a result, we offer both standard products and solutions tailored to specific project requirements.

Spiral-corrugated Ducts: Essential Components of HVAC Systems

In the first part of our series, we’ll introduce spiral-corrugated ducts, also known as spiko or spiro ducts.

Air ducts and fittings with a circular cross-section are fundamental components of the air distribution network in ventilation systems. Thanks to their favorable aerodynamic properties, high mechanical strength, and ease of installation, spiral-corrugated air ducts are widely used.

Their areas of application include, among others:

  • supply air systems
  • exhaust systems
  • ventilation systems
  • air handling systems
  • air conditioning systems

Fittings for the Complete Ductwork System

The ductwork system is completed by the associated fittings, bends, branches, reducers, and transition pieces.

With these components, the ventilation system can be tailored to the technical requirements of the specific building and project.

Available Materials and Sizes

Air ducts can be manufactured from galvanized or acid-resistant steel sheet; other material options are also available upon request.

Manufacturing size range: Ø80–1250 mm.

In addition to standard sizes, we can also manufacture custom sizes. As a result, our products are suitable for use in industrial, commercial, and public building ventilation systems alike.

Frequently Asked Questions About Spiral-Corrugated Air Ducts
What is a spiral-corrugated air duct?

A spiral-corrugated air duct, also known as a spiko or spiro air duct, is an air-handling component with a circular cross-section used to transport air in ventilation, air-handling, and air-conditioning systems.

Where can spiral-corrugated air ducts be used?

Spiral-corrugated ducts can be used in supply and exhaust systems, as well as in the connection networks of ventilation, air-handling, and air-conditioning equipment. They can be used in the HVAC systems of industrial, commercial, and public buildings alike.

What material are the air ducts made of?

Air ducts can be made of galvanized or acid-resistant steel sheet. Other material options are available upon request.

In what sizes are spiral-corrugated air ducts available?

The production size range is Ø80–1250 mm. In addition to standard sizes, custom sizes can also be manufactured.

What types of fittings can be used for air ducts?

Arcs, branches, reducers, and transition pieces, among other components, can be used to construct the ductwork network. These components allow the system to be adapted to the technical requirements of a given project.

Does ISOPARTNER also provide custom ventilation solutions?

Yes. In addition to its wide range of standard products, ISOPARTNER’s manufacturing plant in Debrecen is also capable of producing custom ventilation solutions and sizes.

More ventilation solutions are coming

And this is just the beginning. In the next installments of the “Ventilation Up Close” series, we’ll showcase additional ventilation products, accessories, and custom solutions.

Step by step, we’ll take a closer look at the components that, together, make up a complete and well-functioning ventilation system.
