Key factors driving cost increases
Several mutually reinforcing factors are driving these supplier price increases:
- a drastic increase in the cost of raw materials and supplies,
- higher energy costs affecting manufacturing processes,
- disruptions to global maritime shipping routes, resulting in significant surcharges for shipping, insurance, and logistics.
These factors have made it inevitable for several manufacturers to adjust their list prices.
